As a management team we have an average of 25 years experience in Social care. We work with Adults with diverse needs. Our main focus is Adults with Learning disabilities but we also work with people with dual diagnosis; people with physical limitations due to ill health or age; Our focus is the individual and their environment including their network which involves not only them but all stakeholders so that we can bring about a positive outcome for them. We always recognise the changing needs of the individual and make necessary adjustments to the way we support them so that their story structure will reflect those changes to ensure their journey through receiving a service is a pleasant and beneficial one.

Focus of Service
People Matter Support Services Ltd provides support to Adults who need support to live independently, and People with Learning Disabilities who wish to continue living in their own homes or in a shared home setting.

Mission statement :
We believe that the Individual is the main focus and therefore we set out to value each person, young or older, their family and carers as unique individuals. We would promote their dignity, independence, recognize their human rights and safeguard their welfare in every way legally feasible. We aim to meet the particular needs of adults in secure partnership with their parents/carers and working collaboratively with all other stakeholders such as health professionals and Social Services.

Statement of Purpose:
We offer a flexible and individual user-led support service to those who wish to remain in their own homes or within their local community. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers who are all appropriately qualified; DBS checked and are trained to undertake their given responsibility, with a focus on delivering a high standard of care/support, understanding the relevance of confidentiality, the uniqueness of the individual, and the Protection of Vulnerable Adults. We pride ourselves in offering a tailor-made and flexible service and our staff team reflects the local population we serve because to us People do Matter.

Our services include personal care, support to access community-based activities, budgeting skills, shopping, cooking, housework and laundry, support to access health, educational and recreational facilities and whatever else the individual may need within safe and legal boundaries. We also provide a sitting and live-in service as a form of respite or long-term arrangement. We have staff that are trained Nurses and Social Care and we work with visually impaired people.
People Matter as a company has been operating for about three years but the manager and senior staff have been in social care for over sixteen years; we are not new to the care profession!
